I'm so excited to see the new documentary thanks in part to a new documentary by Pamela Green called “Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blaché,” released in theaters this weekend. When I did this portrait of Ms. Guy Blaché 4 years ago, it was because she was an inspiration to me and for my daughter a young film maker herself. My feminist bag series explores the strength of women as creative forces using domestic material, ie: Trader Joe's grocery bags.
